Quality Engineer (Tester)

We are looking for a Quality Engineer (Tester) with the following requirements:

As a Quality Engineer (Tester), you will be responsible for enabling full-stack solutions through multidisciplinary team collaboration and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and improve quality across the application lifecycle. Your responsibilities include continuous testing for security, APIs, regression, and performance, as well as designing automation strategies, developing automated scripts, and supporting data and environment configuration.

You will participate in code reviews, monitor and manage defects, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for end-to-end testing processes. As a subject matter expert, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support key technical decisions, and provide solutions for both your immediate team and broader organizational challenges.

Additionally, you will:
Develop innovative testing strategies to enhance application quality
Lead workshops to share quality engineering best practices
Use data analytics to identify trends and improve testing processes
Mentor junior team members and promote continuous learning
Ensure alignment across teams on quality objectives and deliverables

Required Skills:
Strong experience with JMeter (mandatory)
Ability to design performance tests based on NFRs (load, stress, scalability)
Execution and analysis of performance test results, including bottleneck identification
Experience with AI-driven testing techniques (test case generation, optimization, defect prediction)
Familiarity with AI-assisted tools to improve test efficiency and coverage
Manual and automated test design and execution
Experience with automation frameworks (UI – Selenium, API – Newman)
Functional, regression, exploratory, and performance testing
Defect management and reporting
Requirements analysis and traceability
Test documentation and reporting
Knowledge of penetration testing concepts (nice to have)

Job Description:
An Automation QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring software quality through the design, development, and execution of automated and manual tests. This role focuses on validating functional and non-functional requirements, improving testing efficiency, and enabling continuous quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.

The QA Engineer works closely with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to design robust test frameworks, identify defects early, and ensure scalable, reliable, and high-performing applications. The role also includes performance testing activities and the application of AI-driven testing approaches to optimize test coverage and efficiency.

Years of experience:
Bachelor + Master + 2 years of relevant experience
OR Bachelor + 5 years of relevant experience
ISTQB Certification or similar

Language: English- B2

• Duration: Long Term Contract.
• Location: Lisbon with at least 2 days in the office. Candidates must be living in Portugal.
