FinOPS Technical Expert

We are seeking of FinOps expertise required to support two application product lines in their FinOps journey. The main mission is to optimize our cloud financial management and ensure cost efficiency across our cloud services.

KEY ACTIVITIES:
• Bridge the gap between finance, engineering, and operations by implementing best practices for cloud cost management, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Promote financial accountability and transparency within our cloud infrastructure.
• Technically challenge application teams on their infrastructure choices.

The mission will consist of, but not limited to:
• Implementation of FinOps strategies, policies, and best practices aligned to Group standards to control cloud spending.
• Product management and finance processes
• Support products on product management and product finance processes and recharging mechanisms
• Contribute to Budget/Forecast and Cost Optimization target setting processes
• Provide expertise to product, engineering and architecture teams to identify cost optimizations while not endangering quality of service
• Review and assessment of FinOps cost optimization opportunities, including recommendations and support for implementation across Product teams.

Governance activities
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud costs and usage across multiple cloud platforms to drive cost visibility and transparency of Cloud costs across the product lines
• Provide regular reports and insights on cloud spend, trends, and anomalies to stakeholders
• Build cross-functional communication for promoting the culture of financial accountability
• Implement tools and automation for cost tracking, reporting, and optimization
• Market intelligence and monitoring of cloud pricing trends, new platform capabilities, and FinOps best practices to support informed decision-making and cost optimization initiatives.

SUMMARY OF MANDATORY CRITERIA:
• Senior profile > 6 years in IT Cloud operations
• Master’s degree in computer science, IT engineering and related
• Certification from Cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and/or FinOps Foundation
• Cloud & FinOps Expertise
• Cloud Platforms & Cost Optimization
• Stakeholder Management & Communication
• English proficiency

Duration: Long Term Contract.
Location: Lisbon
Work model: hybrid with at least 1/2 days at the office
