Senior AI Platform Engineer

Equação IT is recruiting a Senior AI Platform Engineer to join a challenging international project, featuring a strong technical component and long-term collaboration opportunities.

What we are looking for:
✅ 8+ years of software engineering experience, including senior or lead-level responsibilities;
✅ Proficiency in English (at least C1 level);
✅ Must currently live in Portugal;
✅ Proven experience building and deploying AI agents in production environments, including orchestration, tool use, MCP servers, context engineering, and evaluation frameworks;
✅ Design and build agentic development workflows, tools, and automation across the end-to-end SDLC;
✅ Implement evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and quality checks to ensure reliable agent outputs;
✅ Strong background in Platform Engineering, DevOps, CI/CD, and experience building/optimizing pipelines and infrastructure automation;
✅ Proficiency in Python and TypeScript (familiarity with Kotlin, Go, or Rust is a plus);
✅ Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP or equivalent) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar);
✅ Experience developing internal developer platforms, CLIs, workflow engines, and integrating AI-powered workflows with enterprise systems (Jira, source control, CI platforms);
✅ Hands-on experience using agentic coding tools in day-to-day software development;
✅ Proactive, highly autonomous problem-solver with strong technical ownership and minimal need for supervision;
✅ Experience with tools like Cursor, Claude Code, knowledge graphs, static analysis, BDD/Cucumber, or mobile test automation (Maestro) is a plus.
