Responsibilities:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications.
You will use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs.
You are expected to perform independently and become a subject matter expert.
Active participation and contribution in team discussions are required, along with providing solutions to work-related problems. Expert proficiency in Java Spring is required. Advanced proficiency in Microservices Architecture is recommended.
Advanced proficiency in Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS), Docker Kubernetes Architecture, MongoDB, and MySQL is suggested.
Execute assigned development tasks with increasing independence while applying best practices and standards.
Identify and resolve common technical challenges by analyzing recurring patterns and proposing effective solutions.
Collaborate with team members to contribute to the continuous improvement of software components and processes.
Engage in knowledge sharing to support team goals and enhance collective expertise.
Participate actively in sprint planning and review sessions to align deliverables with project objectives.
• Develop and maintain Java microservices for Checkout, MyAccount and ODR Processing products under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs following the business group's OpenAPI documentation standards.
• Write unit and integration tests; contribute to pipeline quality gates (SonarQube, Snyk).
• Participate in agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
• Follow established coding standards, security guidelines, and pull request processes via GitLab.
• Support integration of IAM flows (Keycloak, Okta, OIDC) with guidance from senior peers.
• Proactively engage in the structured upskilling programme provided by subject matter experts (SMEs).
