Senior Java Back-End

Equação IT is recruiting a Senior Java Back-End Consultant to join a challenging international project, featuring a strong technical component and long-term collaboration opportunities.

What we are looking for:
✅ 8+ years of professional experience;
✅ Proficiency in both English and Portuguese (at least C1 level);
✅ Must currently live in Portugal;
✅ Lead the design and implementation of complex Java microservices across Unified Commerce products;
✅ Define and enforce architectural patterns, coding standards, and security practices for the squad;
✅ Own the IAM strategy for Unified Commerce: Keycloak realm design, Okta federation, OIDC flow architecture;
✅ Drive technical discussions with client's product owners and architects, representing the engineering team;
✅ Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and security vulnerabilities;
✅ Lead code reviews and establish quality gates; champion SonarQube and Snyk adoption;
✅ Mentor Confirmed and Junior engineers;
✅ Produce technical documentation, Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), and runbooks.
